Hi, My name is Danny. I am a project coordinator with PlasmaInstaller.com. Thank you for visiting our site and please feel free to ask any questions in the comments section. This is a new addition to our site and we will continue to update this section occasionally and address any customer concerns. We have a lot of customers call us not knowing where to begin after they buy their equipment. Sure the TV looks great at the store and the Surround Sound systems are amazing at the showroom but how do you get that same experience in your home.

First you should research your product, just because it's a name brand and the most expensive doesn't mean its the best out there. You should definitely do your homework. You should factor in how much TV you watch and what kind of TV you watch. If you enjoy TV programming and High Definition shows then you may not need a full 7.1 Surround Sound system to go with your new flat panel because not all TV programming is in Dolby Digital. If you're a movie buff and want home theatre installation, then you may want to consider looking into a Blue Ray DVD player with a Surround Sound System to compliment your LCD or Plasma. Most DVDs (not just blue ray) are equipped with Dolby Digital Surround Sound. This is probably the closest you will get to movie theater quality short of building a megaplex in your back yard. Make sure you know what components you have and what cables you may need.

Most of our plasma installation customers will have a High Def cable or satellite box and a DVD player. If you have a Surround Sound System then you will generally have an amp for your speakers that will work as a "hub" for all your device's audio to run through. Please keep in mind that you may receive some cables with your HD box however they are not always long enough and you will usually never have a HDMI (high definition multimedia interface) cable. If you're not sure what cables you need don't worry about it, our installers have stocked trucks and can provide you with the necessary cables on site if needed for less than most retailers. This applys to brackets as well. A lot of our customers are under the impression that the bracket comes with the TV, that is never the case. You will need a wall bracket to secure your flat panel to the wall. I hope this helped. We are avalible M-F 8-6 PST to answer any of your questions, please don't hesitate to call. Please feel free to call us at 866-550-HDTV with any questions or email us
